A Week in Review: Father’s Day Weekend

We here at Able Roofing hope everyone had a great weekend! We spent our weekend going to festivals and celebrating Father’s day.  We love to get out in the community and interact with our customers as well as enjoy the festivities and of course food and the great weather we have been having.

Blues & Jazz Fest

Our first stop was the Creekside Blues and Jazz Festival Which started Friday and ran through Sunday and featured food, fun and of course great music from local and national artists. The Creekside Blues and Jazz Festival is hosted in Olde Gahanna in creekside Plaza.

We have been to the Blues festival several times before and we visit the Creekside Plaza every  first Thursday month for Paws in the Plaza, the next Paws in the Plaza is July 7th if you want to bring your dog out to enjoy a beautiful plaza and meet new friends. The Blues and Jazz fest Featured 4 stages featuring music over the 3 evenings as well as amusement rides, kids zones, paddle boating, wine, cocktail and craft beer tastings, food and shopping.

Some of our favorite musical acts was marion meadows with Urban Jazz Coalition and of course the Columbus Native Willie Phoenix and his electric performance style.

Pride

This weekend Able Roofing could also be found at the Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival, we had a lot of fun at this event as always. The Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival celebrated it’s 35th Pride this year and this was one of the biggest showings to date. This Festival is always fun, full of great and fun people, Live music on 3 stages, food, family fun, and great weather for this outdoor fun at Goodale park. Pride started Friday evening and continued through Sunday afternoon. A staple of the pride festivities is the parade which was held Saturday morning with the parade route starting at City Hall and ending at Goodale Park a 1 mile parade route.Able Pride Float This year the parade featured 215 entries representing, non-profits, corporate sponsors, community organizations and individuals. We took part in the parade with a float featuring members of our Able Roofing family riding in a float.

We really enjoyed our time at the Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival and Parade, this event is great fun year after year and this year featured great weather and one of the largest crowds in its 35 years.

We at Able Roofing also had a lot of fun with our family and dads on Father’s Day, if you haven’t checked out our other blog posts and maybe haven’t gotten the special dad in your life a gift yet, or you just feel like treating him, we have a blog about great tools to get dad.

We hope you all had a great weekend like we did and remember if you ever are in need of roof, gutters, windows, or siding, contact us online or give us a call.
